What you should know:
1st Class Signature Service & Mobile Fingerprinting will take care of all your Live Scan and/or FD-258 Ink Card fingerprinting needs.
The agency/organization requesting your background check will provide you with a Live Scan form that you will need to bring, in order to get your fingerprints taken. We have blank Live Scan forms and FD-258 cards on hand at no additional charge.
Providing a Live Scan form from the requester of a background check is very important. The information on the form is needed in order to process your application.
Be sure to have your Live Scan form (with your information in the Applicant Information section) ready for your session with 1st Class Mobile Fingerprinting. For the correct DOJ Live Scan form, we recommend that you verify the correct form with the requesting organization before your appointment so that you are not charged the wrong amount and/or your background information is not sent to the wrong place!

What to bring?

Live Scan Fees
Live Scan Cost Breakdown:
The total cost for Live Scan consists of a rolling fee and background investigation fees. The background investigation fees depends on the level of service and is charged by the Department of Justice (DOJ). Additionally if your requesting agency asked for an FBI background check, an FBI fee will also be due.
Your total cost will be given to you before your fingerprints are scanned. 1st Class Mobile Fingerprinting has very competitive fees. We accept debit or credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) and Apple Pay. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH, MONEY ORDERS, OR PERSONAL CHECKS.

Is Your Business Safe from Lawsuits?
In 2022, a bill (AB 506) was passed by the State of California requiring anyone who works directly with youth under the age of 18 years old to complete a training on child abuse, and neglect identification and reporting, and must have a Live Scan background check on file with the company or organization where the youths are located.
All registered volunteer positions and employees including churches, training centers, parents who volunteer, camp staff, etc., MUST comply with AB506. In addition, other volunteers who are 18 years of age or older and who have direct contact with, or supervision of, children for more than 16 hours a month or more than 32 hours per year must complete a Live Scan background check and complete the mandated training.

A travel fee will apply. There is a $10 late fee charged for every 10 minutes that you are late to the appt for any reason (unless you notify us at least 1 hour in advance.)

Social Distancing "Flats on Apps"
$40 plus agency fees
Flats on Apps is a quicker, social distancing method of submitting digital fingerprints to the DOJ and/or FBI.

FD-258 Ink Fingerprint Cards
$75 per person; Each additional Card $25
Ink fingerprints are transmitted to a FD-258 fingerprint card to satisfy specific requirements. This Fingerprinting method is used for various purposes. Cards provided at no extra cost. Schedule your appointment HERE.

Expedited FBI Records & Channeling
$80 Processing fee plus agency fee
We work with a contracted Channeler to expedite a copy of your FBI report to you in as little as 24 hours, which can take weeks or even months to submit a request to the FBI for your record without a channeler. Go to Applicant Services to get the process started, then book your appt with 1st Class Mobile Fingerprinting. CLICK HERE if you need the FBI background check Apostilled. *Cannot be used for licensing or employment.

Mobile Deposit
Mobile Deposit (for Groups of 10 or more people):
A deposit may be requested at the time of booking. If a deposit is requested, it will be credited to the final total of your transaction once completed; reschedules are accepted. The deposit will be refunded provided that the appt is canceled no less than 5 hours prior to scheduled time. If you and/or your group cancels within 5 hours of the appt., are a no show or refuse services upon arrival, your deposit is non-refundable.
